I know, I know. Slow down. That’s what my mom always tells me. But what does she know. Getting pulled over was a fluke. Normally I slow down a lot when I see a cop but I couldn’t see him. I wasn’t sure he was there. To be fair he was undercover. So I took a closer look and thought yeah that’s not a cop. He told me he wouldn’t have pulled me over if I wasn’t going over 100 on a 55.

So I got a ticket. And that ticket is a pretty big one. I thought that I was going to be screwed when he pulled me over. And then when he walked up to my car he said “Man, you’re screwed” Then I came to court and the judge said “boy, you’re screwed.” I was screwed. No jail time but the fines they threw down on me exceeded $1000 in the end.

I’ve got no money and no credit. I spend everything I get and I’ve never had a credit card. That’s how I heard about car title loans in Knoxville, Tennessee. I didn’t know that it was possible to get a loan by simply  putting my car title on the line. An auto pawn worked well to get my tickets paid off.

And yeah, next time I’ll listen to my mom. No more driving over 100 mph.

There are these new guys on my block. Right around McMillan. They all moved in with their families and I don’t know what I can do about it. I mean they haven’t caused no trouble yet. But I can tell these guys are trouble. They’re foreigners and they look like they may be Hispanics. I don’t know if I can just sit and let them do what they like on my neighborhood. I think that I need to take control and make sure nothing wrong happens.

Cause I got a family too ya know. I need to make sure my family is protected, I can’t have everyone going all over and not being safe. I got to make sure my family isn’t in danger. These strangers are making it hard for me to be a good Dad. But I know how I’m going to protect us. I’m going to get a gun.

Easier said then done. Oh I’m fine as far as background checks go. But I’m not ok when it comes to finances. I don’t have the money for a gun. Now I know that even if more people I don’t trust keep moving in, my family and I will be safe.
